Terms and Conditions

The following Terms and Conditions apply to the use of this Web site as well as all transactions conducted through the site.

  • Return Policy
  • Any book may be returned within 30 days of purchase as long as certain conditions are met. Approval is required before returning any book. Books may only be returned for a credit towards future purchases. Please do not return any books until you have received a Return Authorization number (RA #). Return requests must be submitted via email returns@decenthill.com

    For a book to qualify for a return, the following conditions must apply:

    1. Books damaged in transit are not the responsibility of the publisher. Please make a claim with UPS or the USPS.
    2. Any book returned must be in new and in the same condition in which it was shipped to you (undamaged and in original shrink-wrap). There may be no stamps, markings, stickers, etc., in or on the book.
    3. There is a 20% restocking fee for each returned book.
    4. Books returned to us without an RA# will not be accepted for return credit and will be returned to the customer upon request, at the customer’s expense. Requests must be made within thirty days of issuance a “Not Eligible for credit” notice from Decent Hill.
    5. Special Sale or promotional books are not returnable.
    6. Shrink-wrapped items that have been unwrapped are not returnable.
    7. Videotapes, audiotapes, CDs and DVDs are non-returnable.
    8. Customer is responsible for return postage / shipping. Returns must be shipped via an insured carrier. We suggest using UPS to ship your package or using USPS delivery confirmation service.

    If the above conditions are met, then the book(s) may be shipped back to us for credit.

    Return Shipping Instructions:

    • It is the customer’s responsibility to wrap the book in a protective manner.
    • Shipping costs and tracking are the responsibility of the customer.
    • Books must be returned by a traceable method (i.e., UPS, FedEX, DHL, USPS delivery confirmation). The customer is responsible for the returns shipment until we receive it.
    • The RA# must be clearly written on the outside packaging.
    • Decent Hill ships products from various shipping and distribution locations across the United States. Returned books must be shipped to the return address listed on the original packaging sent by Decent Hill.
    • We suggest that you wrap the book in the same material you received it in. If you think you will return a book, it’s better not to open the book when you receive it.

    Damaged or Defective Books

    Defective or damaged books must be returned within 10 days for credit or replacement. In this instance, shipping will be paid by us. There will be no restocking fee. You must call us first at (866) 688-5325 for instructions on how to return damaged or defective books.

    Multimedia Products (CDs and DVDs)

    Absolutely no returns on CDs and DVDs. Defective media may be returned for an exchange only, after an examination of the defective disc.

    Downloadable Products

    By placing an order for a downloadable product (music mp3 file, PDF eBook file, and all other digital file formatted merchandise), you agree to not re-distribute your copy of the product. You may use your downloaded product solely for your personal enjoyment, and you are allowed to transfer the purchased product from medium to medium, as long as you own the medium to which it is being transferred. For example, you may transfer your purchased copy of an mp3 file to a portable player or an eBook from your comoputer to your portable eReader or other digital reading device.

    You are expressly prohibited from emailing your downloaded copy (book or music) to a third party, posting all or parts of it on the Internet, blog, social networking site, or other publicly accesible arena. Such conduct constitutes a breach of all applicable US copyright laws and will result in criminal prosecution by Decent Hill Publishers, LLC.
