Cryout is led by dread-locked Jerry (Cryout) Criner, whose philosophy is the "Straight and Narrow" road of Reggae with a Funky Twist. Mix together a bit of Blues and Jazz and you have CRYOUT. Most of the original music comes from Jerry's personal experiences.

Other members of the band also help write some of the songs. Cryout’s music will bring all but the totally dead to the dance floor. Cryout has performed nationally for more than 15 years and has shared the stage with many other major reggae bands such as Burning Spear, Steel Pulse, Andrew Tosh, Inner Circle, Richard Marks, Sugar Minot, Killer Bees, Boom Shaka, just to mention a few.
